The classical four paths of Yoga represent different approaches to the spiritual search based on human temperament: action (Karma), knowledge (Jnana), devotion (Bhakti), and meditation (Raja).

Karma Yoga (Action)

Transforming work into a selfless service to the cosmos, dissolving attachments to the outcomes of actions.

Jnana Yoga (Intellect)

The intellectual path of discrimination, separating the real from the unreal through study and inquiry.

Bhakti Yoga (Emotion)

Channelling devotion and emotional love toward the ultimate source of reality, dissolving the separate ego.

Raja Yoga (Concentration)

The royal path of mind control, concentration, and deep absorption (Samadhi) systematized by Patanjali.
